What's New with the iPhone 14 Features
Apple has decided to remove the small-screen iPhone mini for a new format with a 6.7 iPhone 14 Plus. Bringing the large screen form to the regular price range allows customers to opt for the 6.7 without a price upgrade and get the iPhone 14 Plus Features upgrade. Apart from the 6.7 screens, the iPhone 14 Plus has more features, such as improved battery timing. Apple has claimed that this version has the most extended battery, including the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus offer a new and improved camera setup. However, the actual hardware improvements are exclusive to the primary 12Mp sensor. The new 12Mp sensor comes with a larger sensor and larger 1.0-micron pixels, with which Apple claims to have improved low-light performance by 49%, along with the sensor-shift OIS tech and a faster aperture. Even though the camera remains physically unchanged, improvements have been made to Apple's image processing which offers more accurate colors. The front camera has also gotten new enhancements with a 12Mp True Depth camera with an f/1.9 aperture, and for the first time, the front camera has included autofocus, using the combination of the front sensor and the Face ID sensor
iPhone 14 has also had improvements in the Video department introducing the Action Mode that uses the full sensors over scan and roll correction technology to ensure a gimble level stabilization experience which is ideal for action-packed videos of running or cycling
Another new addition in the iPhone 14 range is Satellite connectivity which is the first time it has been made available on any mobile device. iPhone 14 now offers to connect to satellites hundreds of miles above each which is a mind-blowing feat
One thing that has left people shocked and in thought is the fact that the new iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus will come with the A15 Bionic Chipset that was used in the previous Pro models, which is faster than most android devices on the market yet still a move that was surprising to the users
Some other improvements that can be seen are Crash Detection, which can detect if you have been in any accidents and call for emergency services. The US customers were in for another surprise as the SIM tray has also been removed, which has left no other option than the eSIM. At the same time, it will still be shipped to different regions with the SIM tray.
Other improvements coming to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus include the same crash detection tech as that of the Apple Watch Series 8, able to detect when you've been in a severe car accident and contact emergency services, as well as the removal of the SIM tray in the US. US consumers have no choice but to opt for eSIM connectivity. However, it'll still boast a SIM tray in most other regions worldwide.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are available in five colors – midnight, blue, starlight, purple, and red – at release. Pictures of iPhone 14 show that it is well designed and loved in all the available colors that iPhone 14 Series has to offer.
Apple also announced the new Apple Watch Series 8 and a recent budget friendly Apple Watch SE, and a variant for the athlete's Apple Watch Ultra, as well as the second-gen Air pods Pro 2
